With the recent completion of our "Flow Assurance Coating Plants", Wasco Coatings now boasts the only plant in Asia to offer a full suite of deepwater insulation coating and related services - to include:

 

• Syntactic Polyurethane Flow Assurance Coating

• Multi- Layer Polypropylene (Solid, Foam and Syntactic) Flow Assurance Coating

 

The multi- layer polypropylene coating plant has been designed to coat up to 24 meter line pipe and accommodate also FBE, Multi-Layer FBE, 3LPE and 3LPP coatings, effectively, and significantly, increasing our anti- corrosion coating capacity in Kuantan.

 

Kuantan strategically places Wasco Coatings along a major shipping route in the South China Sea, enabling us to efficiently and economically supply coated pipe all over the world. In addition to Kuantan Port facilities, Wasco Coatings also operates a dedicated jetty facility for barge load in and load out operations; further ensuring customer satisfaction.

Our pipe coating facility in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is in close proximity to Malaysia's only API spiral weld pipe mill. The Sabah plant offers the following pipe coating systems:

• Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) Coating
• Multi-Layer Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating
• Three Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) Coating
• Three Layer Polypropylene (3LPP) Coating
• Internal Lining
 

Serving under the Wasco Energy’s umbrella, Material Performance Engineering (MPE) manufactures aluminium and zinc anodes for cathodic protection applications throughout Asia Pacific. Located in Wasco Coating's pipe coating plant in Kuantan, MPE is the only anode foundry in Asia Pacific to be qualified to Shell's DEP 37.81.20.31-EPP for the manufacture of cold water anodes specified for deepwater projects.
